I'm having a girl!

So, we found out on David's birthday that we are expecting a girl. Life has been crazy lately. I have been able to give myself some knitting time lately though. I am over half done with a baby sweater. It is turning out SO cute.

Anyways, back to baby. As of today we are naming her Brooke Annalee. We are having a 3d/4d US on Feb 23rd. Look out for pictures!

I have decided to try to write down some of the crazy things DC says to me...

Lately he has been using some cute words to describe things, like, "that's crazy", "that's terrific", etc...

The best saying lately is...
"Mom, last night I was dreaming of power rangers, transformers and computers, (then he whispers in my ear) and my penis!"

I can't remember if I posted last about the pregnancy? Well, I found out at the end of Sept that I am pregnant. It was quite a surprise since I have been infertile for so many years. This baby happened naturally. Of course, just a month after my initial visit with the fertility specialist. :) I have faith that God has healed my body and that this pregnancy will go just fine.

I am now 17 weeks and we will go in on Jan 9th, DC's birthday for the big US. I am hoping to find out the gender at that visit. I also have a 3D/4D scan scheduled for Feb 16th as well.

Now that I am feeling better I have done some crafting. I have sewn some blankets, wipes and burp cloths. I have crocheted some shorties. I am looking for some other easy things to do now.

My mom comes to visit on the 5th. I leave on the 6th to go to CA for a business trip and come back on the 8th. DC's b-day and my US are on the 9th, I am having a jewelry party on the 11th and his birthday party on the 12th. It is going to be a BUSY week!

Anyways, hopefully I can stay on top of my blog from now on! Write more soon...

Missing my dad

Man, time flies. My dad died 11/2/06. Almost 11 months ago. I don't cry as much or as often, but I still tear up often. I do think of him all the time and miss him so much! So does DC. The cutest things make him remember his Grampy. Especially DONUTS! Oh, they both love their donuts. Miss you dad!

Sock Progression

At the last knitting group I went to, Michelle was nice enough to show me magic looping, except I got home and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. I moved my stitches back to my DPNs and now I need to frog a few rows. I am going to take my sock back to her the next time I see her and have her help me frog it. :) all I have left is the ribbing, so I don't want to screw it up during the frog!

It seems as though work may be slowing down a little. I am starting to volunteer at DC's school this week. I am still knitting. Recently I did about 8 washies for myself and for a swap. I'll add a pic of the two for the swap. I am also in the process of making my first pair of socks for myself. I am on sock #1 right now. I've also added a pic of my progress on that.

OMGoodness, it has been too long since I last posted. I have been super busy with work and just a little busy with the house. We had company for 3 weeks. They are all now gone and David Lee started school this week. So it was has been super crazy around here!

I did go to my first knitting group Tuesday night. It was really nice! I am still working on the baby blanket. I am just about done with the knitting. I will need to learn how to crochet the edges. I plan on making some socks and washies next! I'll post pics soon.

I still haven't done any knitting. I have been doing alot around the house, walking and enjoying my front porch. I haven't watched much TV, which is good for me. I should be on my front porch knitting though. Dunno why I haven't done that?

My mom goes home tomorrow. David leaves on Sunday for a week and my brother and his girlfriend come in on Monday. So another busy week.

DC got his stitches out on Thursday. Another bad experience. I cried the whole time. Totally sucked!

Anyways, here is a picture of my new house. :)

Crazy life...

Everything has seemed to go wrong in this move. Fridge broken, dryer broken, stuff broken, people not showing up like they are supposed to, etc etc etc. We ended up spending Friday night in the ER with DC. He busted his chin open and needed 3 stitches. We go tomorrow to have them removed. That was the worst experience!

I have had time to do any crafting lately. Hopefully once DC starts school I will have more of the house in order and will feel like I have the time to do it. I look forward to joining the local S&B group here. At least I could get some knitting done then!

Anyways, that is all for now. :)

We closed on our house on Thursday and a few hours later went and bought me a new car. I'll post more about the house when I have time. Meanwhile, I gotta show off my new car. I haven't had my own car since 2002! I got a 2007 Ford Edge!

I am in AZ visiting my mom. When I got here 2 weeks ago my glasses' lense messed up by just cleaning them. It sucked, but I have not liked my frames for awhile. I really wanted to go back to the pair I had before, but kinda wanted something different. I decided to go different!

At Tempe Yarn I got 4 skeins of Wool and a keychain and pattern for a sock for the keychain.

Well, Sat morning I cleaned my glasses like usual and something on them messed up. Now I can't see thru one of my lenses. So in a frenzy I went and got my eyes checked on Monday and ordered a new pair of REALLY cool glasses. Hopefully they get them back before I leave for the Springs on the 4th! Meanwhile I get to wear my contacts a few hours a day for vision and then try to squint the rest of the day at the computer. I can't see the computer very well with my contacts in either. UGH.

I was at a sports camp with DC last night, knitting. I am making a pair of socks for practice. I found the pattern online and it said it was for preemies and newborns. So far I have had 3 people ask me who in the world I was making socks for, because they are so tiny! Well, like I said, this is for practice. LOL. I'll post a pic of my tiny socks when they are done.

A New Cool Knitting Holder/Bag

I was going thru my mom's closet and found a knitting holder/bag and fell in love. I was going to ask her if I could have it, but I didn't have the heart. She has had it over 30 yrs. Today we went to Tuesday Morning and I found a new one for 3.99. I was so stoked! Here are pics of her's and mine together. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. :) Mine is the solid green one.

Well friends, I have finally done it! I started a blog. I have been wanting to blog for awhile and I am finally jumping in. I will be adding just general day to day stuff as well as my crafty stuff.
